As always, the people at Durand Toyota were GREAT! We have been coming here for years and always are treated like "royality". It's a nice feeling knowing that no matter what, Mr. Durand comes out to say "hi" and asks how's things. I feel like we are family there.

I returned to Durand with my daughter, expecting to help her purchase be our family's THIRD purchase since 2014. Our sales rep. was helpful in looking at cars, but when it came time to get to numbers, everything quickly went south. She (we) felt pressured to make a commitment in order to get basic information. Then the "bottom line" went up and down as one rebate was applied and then a charge was added. In the end, numbers didn't "add up: tax and registration was $500 to 1000 dollars higher than what Vt. State tax and registration fees are for the top price of the car...shouldn't tax be calculated for the actual sales price, in the first place? With all the changing bottom-lines, it was impossible to tell which number they were using, until I saw a printout that indicated it was for the original sticker price, which I confirmed with my calc.. Then she was told she has "...poor credit, but at least you're not a ghost..."
i needed quick help with my tire pressure. drove off I91 and walked in. in less than 10 minutes I was on my way after they checked them out and I felt safe to continue on. Thank you Durand, excellent customer service with my Rav4!
Frustrated and confused, we walked away. My daughter complained that her credit score was under-reported by the sales rep at more than 100 points lower that what it is, so her loan rate was boosted to almost 7%. Even if they used the "low" of the three, the difference is usually 10 to 20 points. I thought she was mistaken until the next dealer reported her score as 50 points higher than what she "knew".... So Durand used a score 125-150 lower than her actual score? Why? Loan kickback? I really wanted to do local business, but the Chevrolet dealer in Greenfield not only gave her straight info from the moment she walked onto the lot, but they sealed the deal when THEY TOLD HER "we'll hold the car; go home and sleep on it...." And THEN they gave her real, but reasonable money for her '93 beater "boat". The bottom line kept shrinking... and they were gassed to have a car to sell to the demo-derby guys...the Durand rep had told her he wouldn't charge us if we left it in the lot..... I really like the people in the Service Dept. here....it's too bad that we're probably moving on....
I'm sending grateful thanks to the most helpful guy who helped get my car on the road again last night when all the mechanc had gone home. I was able to get to my meeting on time after he reattached the part underneath my car that had come loose on the highway. You are a credit to your company! Got any used prius' for sale?
