We chose the low bidder and got what we deserved: damage to new construction, damage to trees and shrubs, grading done completely differently than we specified (in writing), including changes in areas that were explicitly supposed to be off limits, and a failure to do basic things like have the grade slope away from the house. Debris that was supposed to be hauled off site buried in the garden, a trench that was supposed to be dug with a narrow bucket dug with s 30" wide bucket. Obnoxious and uncooperative.
